The Winemaker
Kyle Johnson is the winemaker for Olsen Estates. Johnson got his start at Chateau Ste. Michelle working in viticulture before becoming a winemaker for Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Canoe Ridge Wine Estate.
At Olsen Estates he has the privilege of working closely with the vineyard manager and crafting wines from nineteen different estate varietals.
Being able to spend time in the vineyard and create wines that really showcase the fruit is paramount to me. Each vintage, you will see more and more wine produced from the nineteen varieties grown in our vineyards. This year our inaugural Merlot, Syrah and Petit Verdot will be ready to release and that’s really exciting!”
