Centennial Bottle Design and its Contents Are Works of Art
The 100-year-old family legacy of growing behind award winning Olsen Estates Winery is marking the end of its first century and embarking on its second with the introduction of a new wine, the Heritage Series.
In a tribute to history, family and growing excellence, Olsen Estates will use only the best of its grapes to create the stellar new wine. Each year, a different, limited-edition Heritage wine will be released.
“The Heritage Series represents one hundred years of our family’s joy, hardship and success,” said Winery Manager Martin Olsen. “We have been through it all, and this wine is a culmination of the best of the best.”
This year, the inaugural Heritage wine will be an exceptional syrah, grown on a south facing slope at the base of Rattle Snake Mountain. This vineyard, with its shallow, rocky soil is ideal for growing syrah grapes. Each cluster was hand selected for the series.
“The grapes from this particular vineyard were so amazing that we knew we had to do something special with them,” said Kyle Johnson, Olsen Estates Winemaker.
